A new group of veterans is hoping to restore the historic Frank Marston American Legion Post 33 building to its former glory and create a new family-friendly atmosphere.
The almost 100-year-old building fell into disrepair in recent years and eventually closed in December after a shooting on Christmas that led to a teenager being injured. The club's charter was also revoked shortly before the shooting.
Now new leaders are raising money with the hopes of repairing Hurricane Sally damage and restoring the Spanish-revival style building.
